Quick Read
At Eden Behavioral Health, we believe every child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) deserves tailored support to reach their full potential. Our comprehensive services focus on empowering children and their families through evidence-based treatments and personalized care. Whether it’s addressing social challenges, behavioral difficulties, or emotional struggles, our team is here to help every step of the way.
Our approach begins with understanding each child’s unique needs. Through behavioral assessments, we identify triggers and develop targeted strategies to address them effectively. For example, if a child struggles with transitions, we might introduce visual schedules or timers to ease the process. We also offer early intervention services for children aged 2–8, focusing on foundational skills like communication, play, and daily living.
Parents are an integral part of our treatment process. With parent training programs, we equip families with tools to create structured and supportive environments at home. Strategies like using labeled praise or responding calmly to meltdowns help build stronger parent-child connections. For families facing specific challenges, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) provides live coaching to address behaviors constructively.
Children also benefit from therapeutic autism treatment and social skill development programs. From practicing turn-taking to recognizing emotions, these therapies help children build confidence and navigate social situations more effectively. Additionally, our team collaborates with schools to ensure children receive the necessary support through academic consultations, like creating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or adjusting classroom environments to reduce anxiety.
If you’re navigating healthcare providers for your child, we offer health provider consultations to create a seamless network of support. This might involve working alongside speech therapists or occupational therapists to align treatment goals across disciplines.
At Eden Behavioral Health, our goal is to empower children with ASD to thrive while providing families with the resources and strategies they need. Whether through individual therapy, behavior intervention, or school consultations, we’re committed to helping children and families succeed in every aspect of their lives.

What Makes Our Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder Different?

Our program for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) emphasizes solution-focused treatment, and robust support for parents and caregivers.

Eden Behavioral Health has crafted a unique and highly successful treatment model that empowers parents to interact effectively with their autistic child. The clinic provides extensive parent training, collaborates with special education programs, and tailors services to the specific needs of each child and family.

Autism treatment at Eden Behavioral Health is grounded in clinically proven approaches, such as structured teaching methods and applied behavioral analysis principles. Our therapists are highly trained, and clinical work is meticulously evaluated.

Unlike many clinics, we adopt a partnership model involving the individual, their family, the school, and a network of specialists.

Our approach integrates therapy practices like Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and cognitive-behavioural techniques. We also conduct assessments to identify specific needs such as behavioral challenges, social difficulties, and co-occurring emotional issues.

Families receive practical strategies to support their loved ones through individual therapy, parent sessions, and behavioral consultations. By combining personalized care with cutting-edge practices, we aim to empower every individual with ASD to reach their full potential.

What Services Do We Have for Autistic Children?

We offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of autistic children and their families. Our approach focuses on empowering children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to thrive in their environments while equipping parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies they need to support their child effectively. Here's an overview of our services:

Parent Trainings

Parenting a child with autism can feel overwhelming at times, and we’re here to help. Our parent training programs provide practical guidance on understanding your child’s behavior, improving communication, and supporting their development. We teach evidence-based strategies that you can implement at home to build a positive, structured environment.

Example: Learn how to use visual schedules to help your child transition smoothly between activities or how to respond calmly during meltdowns.

Behavioral Assessments

Understanding why a child behaves the way they do is key to effective treatment. Your therapist will conduct a comprehensive behavioral assessment to identify the triggers and functions of challenging behaviors. This approach helps us develop targeted intervention plans that are both effective and individualized.

Example: If a child struggles with hitting, we analyze the situations leading up to the behavior and develop strategies to reduce stressors while teaching alternative skills.

Therapeutic Autism Treatment

We provide personalized, evidence-based therapy plans for autistic children. These may include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, which focus on breaking complex tasks into manageable steps, and other therapeutic approaches tailored to your child's unique needs.

Example: If a child struggles with following instructions, we practice step-by-step instructions and reward positive behaviors to encourage success.

Social Skill Development

Building friendships and understanding social cues can be challenging for autistic children. Our social skills programs teach children how to initiate conversations, recognize emotions, take turns, and navigate group settings. These skills are taught through fun, interactive activities that promote confidence and engagement.

Example: A child might practice asking a peer to play during a role-play activity before trying it out at school.

School and Academic Consultation

Navigating the educational system can be daunting. Our team provides school and academic consultations to help families advocate for their child’s needs. We collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop effective strategies, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans, ensuring your child gets the support they need to succeed in the classroom.

Example: We can suggest sensory-friendly classroom setups or recommend adjustments to assignments to reduce anxiety.

Health Provider Consultations

We coordinate care with your child’s healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. Our team communicates with pediatricians, speech therapists, and other specialists to create a seamless support system for your child’s development.

Example: If your child is seeing an occupational therapist for sensory challenges, we work together to align goals across all areas of care.

Behavior Intervention

Our behavior intervention services focus on replacing challenging behaviors with positive, functional alternatives. Using evidence-based strategies, we teach children coping mechanisms and help parents maintain consistent behavior management at home.

Example: If your child struggles with transitions, we might introduce a timer or visual countdown to prepare them for changes in routine.

Early Intervention Services

Early support can make a world of difference for young children with autism. Our early intervention services focus on teaching foundational skills such as communication, play, and daily living activities for children ages 2–8.

Example: A toddler may work on making eye contact, using gestures, or saying “more” to request their favorite snack during therapy sessions.

Individual and Family Therapy

Our therapists provide individual therapy to help children with emotional regulation, anxiety, and self-awareness. We also offer family therapy to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address challenges as a team.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is a highly effective program that strengthens the parent-child bond while addressing behavioral challenges. Parents receive live coaching during sessions to learn how to guide their child’s behavior in a supportive and constructive way.

Example: A parent might learn to use labeled praise like, “I love how you’re sitting so quietly,” to reinforce positive behaviors during playtime.

What Kind of Issues Could Be Addressed in Therapy?

Therapy at Eden Behavioral Health is highly individualized, with goals established during the first 1-2 sessions. Some of the common challenges we address include:

  • Co-occurring emotional issues: such as anxiety and depression, which may impact daily functioning.
  • Family dynamics: strengthening communication and relationships within the family unit.
  • Behavioral challenges: including aggression, self-regulation difficulties, or impulsivity.
  • Social difficulties: like improving peer interactions, navigating friendships, or managing social anxiety.

Each session is designed to meet the individual’s specific needs and ensure steady progress toward achieving their goals.
